Cyril kept on the push for a State Championship when they went to Stuart for the Regional Tournament. Cyril, the number two seed, faced off against Wister, the number three seed. The Lady Pirates started off hot when Mackenzie Rhodes tripled in Alexis Missey and Jaycee Shaffer. The Lady Pirates added on to the lead when Alexis Missey scored Hadley Gibson to make it 3-0 in the fifth inning. Jaycee Shaffer was dominant in the circle, throwing a no-hitter, only allowing one base runner on a walk in the seventh inning and striking out 10 along the way.

The Lady Pirates met up with the host Stuart Lady Hornets. After a scoreless first two innings the Lady Hornets jumped out to a two run lead in the top of the third inning. Cyril answered back when Alexis Missey singled in Hadley Gibson to cut the lead in half, then do it all Jaycee Shaffer crushed a ball over the center field wall to make it 3-2 Lady Pirates. Jaycee Shaffer only allowed two hits over the next four innings to secure the victory. Cyril met up with Stuart once again, this time in the Regional Championship Game. The Lady Pirates had two chances to earn one win and to advance to the State Tournament.

The Lady Pirates rode the pitching arm of Jaycee Shaffer again, sending her to the circle. Cyril jumped out early when Carlie Masson drove in two runs. The Lady Pirates doubled the lead thanks to RBIs from Reece Mathis and Kyanna Wilson. Some more insurance was added by the Lady Pirates in the fourth inning when Alexis Missey hit her second RBI triple of the tournament and then later scored on a passed ball to make it 6-0. After Stuart chipped into the lead with one run in the sixth inning, Cyril drove in the dagger. Corinne Morton had a two RBI single and then Reece Mathis drove in a run to make it 9-1. Cyril was able to record the next three outs and then the party started as Cyril had advanced to the Class A State Tournament.

The Lady Pirates will open up on Thursday Oct. 7, at 4 p.m. at Integris Field at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium against the #1 Ripley Lady Warriors.
