With my apologies and gratitude to the Steve Miller band, the times in my life just keep on slipping into the future.

Now, I am aware I am not the first parent or the last parent that has watched their only child go from newborn to high school graduate in just a few but quick years. It seems just like yesterday we were carrying around a right and left hand glove so he could decide which hand he wanted to throw with.

Now, the Regional tournament is on the horizon and will likely be the last time that he plays competitive baseball. The good thing is he is wanting to go to college and become a baseball coach, so that he stay with the sport he loves.

Speaking of baseball, the Oklahoma City Dodgers are getting ready to finally open theirs season and put out an announcement that capacity at the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark will now be at 50% instead of the 30% that they they were going to start with.

The news release goes on to say that The OKC Dodgers open the home portion of their 2021 schedule at 7:05 p.m. Thursday, May 13.

Baseball and the Steve Miller Band, it has been a good night!

As always, stay safe and healthy.
